I just installed NI-DAQmx V8.8 on an XP machine.
I reboot the machine at the end of the install.
When the machine reboots an error occurs. Windows prompts to select the various safe mode / last know good configuration options.
Selecting any option other than last know good configuration causes the PC to reboot and return to the same screen.
If I select last know good option then the PC boots and I can log in.
However I get an nidevmon.exe application error.
The PC is running Sophos antivirus and firewall. I have disabled both.
I have noticed that none of the NI services are being installed i.e. are not listed in the windows service manager.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling NIDAQmx, but that does not seem to have any effect.
