I am using NI PXI-6509 cards with PXIe-1065 chassis. I am having couples of issues with setting power up state of PXI-6509.
1) When i change PXI-6509 power up state to "1" in MAX, it doesn't show the changes in the configuration panel. The panel shows the Power up state in Configuration panel to Set All "0". How can i check my device power up state is 0 or 1?
2) In the PXI-6509 manual, it is stated that limited Write cycle is available on EEPROM. How many time we can change power up states?

Hi,
1.The product page for the PXI-6509 lists that the device has ''Programmable DIO power-up states'', which claims that you can programmatically select the power-up state of the digital lines when they are configured as inputs. This page is actually only relevant to the PCIe version of the 6509 card. This is the only form factor that has software-selectable pull-up and pull-down resistors. For all other form factors, you can select power up states, but you cannot programmatically select pull-up or pull-down resistances. You can connect these externally if you want this behavior, however.

When the terminals are set to be inputs, the power-up state is initially applied, but the lines can float away from these initial values if they aren't being driven.
2.Regarding your question about number of cycles of EEPROM, they are usually in 10s of 1000s (typically around 100,000 cycles), which are enough for generic use as power up state is configured at very less frequency.
I hope this answers your question.
Please let me know if I can help you any further.
Best Regards.
