NI6211 module not visible

I installed NI-DAQmx 9.02 and when I am opening MAX i do not see the 6211 module.

In windows device manager this device is listed as unknown device.

Do I need to install aditional drivers?

Look in device manager and see if you see the USB-6211 there. Try other USB ports.

Are you sure the unknown device is the USB-6211? Does that unknown device go away from device manager when the 6211 is not plugged into the system?

DAQmx is the only driver you will need for the USB-6211. Maybe an uninstall / reinstall?

Are you going through a hub?  Plug it directly into the computer, and try different ports on the computer.

Also, try different USB cables.

Does the DAQ work on other computers?

Any indications of life on the DAQ itself?  Blinking/solid light?  Voltage at any outputs?

I also recommend using Device Remover to blow away hidden/detached devices on occasion.

Hello Max,

Did you receive any errors during installation?

Does NI MAX produce any error messages?

Can you create a simulated 6211 device in NI MAX and "use it" via Test Panels?

If all of these steps don't work, can you then try a newer version of the driver?
