PMW Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,

I have a sb-rio 9642 and I'm trying to do some simple PWM generation using a ni 9401 module. I've tried using the example code found in LabView, but I don't understand how I can implement it to my configuration. In the example code, I don't understand how the pulse is actually sent to the C module. Do I need to create a separate vi to grab the data and send it out of the module? The input parameters of the vi are inputed into the computer's interface. I'm a complete newb when it comes to this stuff. I'm eager to learn, but this kind of thing can be overwhelming when you're first starting out. Any ideas as to additional resources I could use would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

You will select a counter from the NI 9401 to create the task as in the Gen Dig Pulse example and set the signal parameters from the VI.  Once the VI is run, the signal should be output from the designated counter.  Can you elaborate on your VI and how the pulse train needs to integrate?  Are your questions more about the NI 9401 or the NI sbRIO-9642?
