SCB-100 & PCI6514 signals

Hi,
I'm new to using DAQ. I have a PCI-6514 board that is connected to a SCB-100 connector block.
It seems pretty clear that the 6514 has 8 digital I/O ports. I noticed that the SCB-100 has signal names besides the PX.X digital lines, & has counters as well (e.g. pin #49 = ctr 0 out).
Are these universal names to work with various DAQ cards, or is there a chance I can configure the 6514 to have a counter as an output for example ?

Thanks,
ak

ak,

Thanks for contacting National Instruments.  The SCB-100 is a general purpose connector block used with many of our DAQ devices.  The pinout is a direct mapping from the back of the DAQ device to the screw terminals on the SCB-100.  There is no added functionality given by the SCB-100 in terms of counters or any other input or output channels.  The 6514 will only have the channel types and output pins as specified in it's specifications and data sheet.  The pinout in the data sheet can be used as a reference to where the different pins map to the SCB-100.
