The simplest method of testing the PCI-DIO-96 is to use its Test Panel in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). If you navigate to the device in MAX, you will be able to right-click on it and launch its Test Panel. This will allow you to test the basic functionality of the device. If you need to test all of its functionality (handshaking, etc.), I would suggest that you run the appropriate example programs for the development environment you are using (LabVIEW, CVI, Visual Basic, etc.).
