USB-6525 SSR Output Current Limit

I plan to use the SSR outputs of the USB-6525 DIO device to control an inductive load as shown:

The manual lists a current limit of 500mA on the SSR output pins:

Is there internal protection against this limit, or should I use an external fuse in line with the input pin?

Thanks!

I would put in a fuse, it doesn't hurt to be double protected than be relying on only one safety mechanism.
