Why does my digital Pattern compare failed when converting pins to compare data

Hello,

 I'm a new learner about Digital Pattern.I tried to convert some of the pins to 'compare' while editing the pattern file, but it gives a 'compare failed' error. Why is that?

To your question, in your highlighted image, you expected a "V" i.e., Valid state i.e., Signal <= VIL or Signal >=VIH, but the actual signal was "M", a mid-range where VIL < Signal < VIH
