correction - 653x, use certain lines on port4 as output with input in pattern generation

sorry about my previous post, obviously a better explanation is needed.
I'm using a 653x board and are trying to send out a 16bit piece of data to a device which needs a pulse on the REQ1 line so it knows the data is valid for reading. The device then sends N data items on port2&3 and generates a pulse on REQ2. First I wanted to use pattern generation for both groups but due to a dma limitation according to the 653x manual, a count of 2 is the minimum, hence I can't use pattern gen. for the outgoing data. I am wondering if I can just put the data on port 0&1 then drive one of the output lines on port 4 without affecting the lines that are used by the pattern gen. for group2.
I
t would be nice if I can use REQ1 as output since I'm using an existing board which only has REQ1, REQ2 and data lines for port 0,1,2 & 3 connected.
I hope this makes more sense now. Thanks in advance for answering

Greetings,

I don't know if you are checking your previous question any longer, but I recently posted information that may help. . .HERE.

Unfortunately, REQ 1 can only be used for input in this situation. PCLK 1 and ACK 1 are your only options.
