You have not provided any information on what hardware you are using. You have not provided any information on what programming language you are using. You have not provided any code to show where you are having problems. You have not explained what a post about analog inputs is doing in the the Digital I/O board.

i am planning on using a compact daq system with four analog or digital sensors, that have an alarm at a certain set point.

and i am using labview. I am very new to labview and just need help in how to do it. All I know is the getting started instructions, and they don't help to much

Not sure if you are referring to the Getting Started with DAQmx. If not, that's a great place to start to see how to do basic DAQ functions. For LabVIEW basics, I would recomend starting with the free tutorials.

 

Besides that link and it's tutorials, there are a large number of examples that ship with LabVIEW. Go to Help>Find Examples. Expand the Hardware Input and Output>DAQmx section to find examples for analog input/output and digital input/output. All of the DAQ functions and the DAQ Assistant is on your Measurement I/O>DAQmx palette.
