does usb 6501 support tri-state I/O

Hi,

Does NI USB 6501 support tri-state I/O. I just want to implement I2C in 6501. Is there any examples for that?

Hello,

No, the 6501 does not support tri-state.  However, National Instruments does offer a USB 8451 that does support I2C through a I2C circuitry interface.  The product page and manual for the USB 8451 are linked below.  There is also an old post that might still be providing example code that might interest you.

Hello,

I'm would like to know if the USB 8451 supports tri-state?  We are wanting to connect the two ports together SPI / I2C but run them in separate sessions.  We would interconnect the SPI's SDO line to the I2C's SDA line.  Do you know if the port will function this way?
