fibre channel

Does NI have any boards that support the Fibre Channel Protocol?  I have a camera that sends data out via 8 channels of a 12 channel Zarlink transceiver (http://assets.zarlink.com/DS/zarlink_ZL60101_JUL_04.pdf).  Phisically, the interface could also be split into 8 separate fibres with SC or LC connectors.

Thanks!

Hi Doug,

We currently do not offer any devices that are directly compatible with fiber channel.  However, if you are able to convert the fiber channel to copper while preserving the timing and integrity of the signals, you could potentially wire that directly to either the 1424 or 1422 frame grabber boards.

An even better option is if your camera follows the camera link standard, you should be able to convert from camera link to fibre and then back to camera link into one of the following boards.  I hope this helps.  Please let us know if you would like further clarification or assistance regarding this issue.

Best regards,
