how do i read a data-dump on the RS232

Hello,
I am a new user.

I have an instrument that logs Temperature and Humidity. It was an RS232 interface.
I am using the Instrument I/O assistant to read in the data. Unfortunately this instrument dumps the data as soon as it gets plugged into the serial port.

The Instrument I/O reads a good part of the data and then crashes (error: A framing error occurred during transfer.   VISA Status code: bfff006b)
I am not sure where to go from here.
I changed the setting on the port… that did not help.
I had the Instrument I/O scan for a longer time..... No change.

Any suggestions???

Hello Gio,

It looks like you are receiving a framing error.  The error description is:  VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF006B) A framing error occurred during transfer.
