pwm ni9401 to control dc dc converter

Hi I am a beginner that just purchased a compactrio with ni 9401 to generate a DWPM that will control a dc dc converter.

Question is how is this done?

I calculate a Duty Cycle value through a algorithm and when that values is generated I would like a dwpm corresponding.

I would like a pwm with a frequency of 50kHz is this possible? Or is the maximum freq of pwm allowed for ni 9401 20kHz

Using the 9401 in either the 9172/9174/9178 you can achieve up to 20MHZ counter output frequency. I recommend looking over Gen Dig Pulse Train-Buf-Implicit-Cont.vi. This can be found in the NI Example Finder Browse According to: Task under Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Generating Digital Pulses

To implement this example in a Real-Time environment using your compactRIO, I recommend posting on that particular board.
