while iam toggling the digital ouput module(NI 9477 module) through ni max

I am using a cDAQ-9179 chassis with an NI-9477 digital output module. I am trying to toggle the output high and low on pin 0 through NI MAX and observing the signal using a CRO. However, I do not see the high and low levels on the CRO.

Is there any issue with the module. (or) should i provide any external power source to the Ni 9477 module, if should i provide any power source to module for which pin should i give the power source

Because you did not provide any supply.

9477 is only a switch and it needs external power to switch and power something. You cannot a switch operating without supplying electricity to flow through it.

According to NI-9477 Getting Started

The NI-9477 has sinking outputs. Sinking outputs drive current from DO to COM when the channel is on. You must connect an external power supply to the NI-9477. The power supply provides the current for the output channels.
