I believe that NI-488.2 includes a language interface for Visual Basic and for .NET. Depending on your version of Excel, one or both of these should be usable in the macro editor. I'm not sure if there is an ActiveX interface included. You might consider posting your question to the "Instrument Control (GPIB, Serial, VISA, IVI)" board as this board is focused primarily on NI precision DC products (DMMs, power supplies, and SMUs). The people that monitor the Instrument Control board will be able to give you a more definitive answer and may even be able to offer up some examples.
