Fluke 45

I have recently used a Fluke 45 Dual Display Multimeter in conjunction with labview and I have a problem with reading the freqency off of the Fluke 45. I measure 100 Hz from the oscilloscope but everytime I take a reading, it keeps giving me 190-200 Hz. Can anyone tell me why?

Are you getting these same reading from the Fluke 45 itself, or do the readings from the front of the fluke 45 and LabVIEW differ?  There is a Getting Started VI in the Applications Example palette of the instrument driver.

See if this VI works for you.  If it does, then it might just be a coding issue.

Then it appears the issue is with either the measurement setup or the Fluke 45 itself.  As long as the GPIB interface is returning the same results as displayed on the front of the device, then the interface is functioning properly.  You might need to contact Fluke for support with the FL45.

Does somebody have a working program for the fluke 45 multimeter that measures continiously?

Hello tdc,

You can find an example working with the Fluke 45 here.  Have you downloaded the driver for your device?  It can be found at the Instrument Driver Network

Good luck with your application,
