NI 4060 INIT error

We have installed NI-DMM vs 2.5 on our Windows XP systems. I am unable to access

our PCI 4060 DMM using LabWindows CVI 8.0.1. (error -1074135031).  MAX vs 4.1 has the name

listed as "NI-4060 for PCI (device 1)"  but the CVI  "niDMM_init function" panel returns this error regardless

of resource name ("DAQ::1::INSTR" or "NI-4060"  etc).   The test panel in MAX works fine, but as a possibly related

problem the Soft Front Panel will not start and complains of missing application elements. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Bob,

What is the message that pops up with that error number? Screenshots would be best. Also, what kind of error (number and message) do you see with the soft front panel? Just to check, does the DMM throw the same error if you run one of the shipping examples, such as "Measure DC volts"? The most current version of NI-DMM is 2.6 - this may resolve the issue. I would recommend upgrading to that if it is an option.

Please post back with more questions and troubleshooting results, we want to make sure you get this fixed.
