Hi Ennio,
the 5112 has input impedances selectable at 50 ohm or 1MOhm.
Since the card is designed for a voltage input, the current would be appropriate to V=IR.
Hence if you managed to find a constant current source, and measured the voltage from it, then since the current would be fixed
and the input impedance is fixed, you would damage the card if you exceeded the +-42V (DC +peak AC).
In other words, if you exceed the voltage input of the card, then damage could occur, and since the input impedance is fixed,
then we don't say the maximum current.
