Wich is the max input current for a NI PCI 5112

Hello,

I would like to know wich is the max input current for an oscilloscope card NI PCI 5112.

Thanks

Hi Ennio,
the 5112 has input impedances selectable at 50 ohm or 1MOhm.
Since the card is designed for a voltage input, the current would be appropriate to V=IR.
Hence if you managed to find a constant current source, and measured the voltage from it, then since the current would be fixed
and the input impedance is fixed, you would damage the card if you exceeded the +-42V (DC +peak AC).
In other words, if you exceed the voltage input of the card, then damage could occur, and since the input impedance is fixed,
then we don't say the maximum current.

Hope that makes sense.
Please let me know if that resolves your query, or if you need additional information.
