Hello friends,

Can anyone help me if there is any way in which I can set the offset null option in the Soft Front Panel of DMM-4095  programmaticaly?

I am pretty new to labVIEW and I am seeking for help.

mylaar,

The Null Offset is indeed present on the Soft Front Panel.  It is intended to be used to increase accuracy when taking voltage measurements while current is flowing through the DMM.  Enabling Null Offset takes a single reading with the voltage terminals shorted and current flowing, stores the result, and subtracts that from any future readings, improving accuracy for subsequent readings.

The Null Offset option is the fourth checkbox in the lower right-hand side of the NI-DMM Soft Front Panel (assuming version 2.9).

This is not available directly through the NI-DMM LabVIEW API, but it should not be very difficult to imitate what the SFP is doing.

For more information, you may want to refer to this tutorial.

I hope this helps,

Tobias
