Driver Labview GUPPY Pro F201

Bonjour,

Je dois utiliser une caméra GUPPY PR FT201 ( firewire 1394) sous LabView 2015. Par contre elle n'est pas identifiée sous MAX. Elle est par contre parfaitement reconnue avec l'environnement WIMBA ( Viewer de Allied Vision technologie)?

Dois-je installer des drivers spécifiques pour la carte firewire afin qu'elle soit identifiée par LabView?

Pour integré les cameras d'Allied Vision FireWire ou même GigE avec NI software, il faut utiliser IMAQdx driver.

On achete NI IMAQdx driver deNational Instruments; version gratuit pour evaluation se trouve a: https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/product/vision-acquisition-software.html

Apres installation, les cameras serons marcher avec toutes NI software (LabVIEW, Vision Builder...).

The problem is resolved!! ImaQdx was already installed but Allied Vision driver for Vimba environment ( Vimba 2.0 driver) is not compatible with LabView!!

I had to select "Microsoft driver" and not "Vimba 2.0" when i launch "VimbaDriverInstaller.exe". In this configuration, Guppy pro FT201 appears in MAX with default name as "Cam1" and it's work with my LabView VI's.

But in this case, the VimbaViewer doesn't work!!

Glad you figured it out.  Indeed the two drivers use different paradigms.  The one by Allied Vision is for high performance, via Intek, while the NI driver model is based upon Microsoft's.   They both work fine, but only one can be in control at any time, and any software depending upon the "other" driver will not find the camera until it's preferred driver is present.
