Hey,
No, there is no tutorial for that because calibration executive doesn't support 3rd party devices.

Hi,
thx for your answer.
What I want to do is include a new not supported calibrator ! I find out that it is possible to include a new driver by put in a new folder in the instrument driver folder. But it is not possible to see how the Vi´s work because the a password protected and so I am just able to see In and outputs.
Maybe there is a documentaion how this vi´s have to be named and written ?

Hey,
I'm still not sure what you want to do but I assume you want to use a standard which is not included in the list of thoose comeing with calibration executive.
In that case you will need to look for an IVI driver of your standard and install it.
More about that here -> http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/89428763E755573F86256DEA006FE9A1?OpenDocument
Hope this helps,

Hi,
my customer does have an unsupported calibrator ! They want me to write a driver for this calibrator. As far as I understand the function of " Calibration Executive" there 2 Kinds of Instrument Drivers : IVI and LabView.
Every driver has VI´s like cex_Instr_LabVIEW_Cal_fl5xxx_Close.vi, cex_Instr_LabVIEW_Cal_fl5xxx_Init.vi and so on.
So I think, I just need the right glossary and an information how Connector have to be build up, and I am able to build up an Instrument Driver with VISA functions.
And maybe some Informations more about the INI-Files...

By the way : I think we have met at the Basic or Intermediate Course last year in Vienna. Could it be ?

Hey,
Well, the KB I posted before says the "only" way is to create an IVI driver to get an automated standard included. And I didn't find any information of creating instrument driver VIs for Calibration Executive. Where did you get this information from?
Oh I don't really remember what classes I teached last year in Vienna, but it's quite possible that we met at one of thoose.
