USB-6501 minimum driver

Hello,

My name is Jacob Creech I am the Sr. Systems Engineer for iRecord llc. 

We are currently using your USB-6501 for a dry contact feature. (Or switch detection; flip the switch turn on a led light, etc.)  So we are not using very many capabilities of this device.  So what I am wondering if there is a way to strip down the driver installer form 1.3 GB to something much smaller.  Our current cd executable is only 453 MB for software and all drivers.  I am not wanting to turn this exe into a 2 GB file by just adding your driver.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Hi Jacob,

We have smaller versions of DAQmx with reduced feature sets. If you don't need the ADE support and MAX, take a look at DAQmx Core:

It is significantly smaller, but will work the same with your deployed application.
