We use the 6024E PCMCIA card in our power analyzer instrument, which is running a RedHat7.2 based system (kernel 2.4.10) and Comedi API (0.7.68). with ni_mio_cs.o card driver module.
The problem is that sometimes on the instrument, the values returned from the 6024E PCMCIA card are not the expected values (don't match the verified input signal).
The 6024E is detected and there are no error codes or messages generated by the Comedi API. None in the instrument log messages or /proc/kmsg.
The values returned by the card appear to be consistant, they are similar but not identical and not varying wildly.
The processing of the values reurned from the card vi the Comedi API is done using SigIO and file descriptors.
Does anybody know whether there are any know issues concerning the use of the 6024E with Comedi and Linux? If so, what are they and are the issues restricted to only particular
version numbers of Comedi and/or Linux, if not, what API(s) and Linux distributions do they know the 6024E works with (version numbers would be good) ?
Thank you very much,
Anna

Hi Anna,
unless anyone from Comedi is looking at this forum, then all I can say is the response I gave to the e-mail.
Comedi is a third part driver, so we don't know what it is capable / not capable of.

unfortunately the daqcard 6024E is not supported by an NI driver under Linux so you'll need to contact comedi themselves.

Having done a quick search of the comedi bug tracking list, there's nothing specific to the 6024E daqcard, or anything on NI e-series that matches your issue.
Do you have another 6024E you could try just in case the card is faulty (which of course we can help with)?
Thanks
