Hello Ima,
I'm using an IEPE piezo impulse hammer that I'm trying to trigger off of for a modal analysis test. In my VI I do a pre-measurement to get the DC value of the signal on my 4472, then I add to that value a little (0.002 V) and use that as my trigger level This way when I tap the hammer it will trigger. Sometimes this trigger value is over 10V, and the VI errors out because I set a trigger threshold higher than the allowed 10V. If the 4472 can indeed take a higher voltage during the measurement, how do I get around this?
I usually do 25 or more taps in a measurement, so the 'ocassional' error happens frequently enough in practice to mess up my tests.
Thanks!
