I want to use DaqAssistant to acquire two voltage channels from a Ni 9215 in a NI cDAQ-9174 usb chassis. To synch the voltage measurements to an external trigger from a video camera, do I use the trigger options in DaqAssistant somehow? I have digital I/O channels available on a Ni9401 in the same usb chassis too.
The 9215/9174 combo might not be the best choice for this, but they are already in house and paid for. I ASSuMEd that the 9174 had the trigger capability of the 9178 when I purchased the Cdaq chassis. It does not.
Thanks in advance for hints and assistance.

Hello martyop,
If you are using the DAQ Assistant, you should be able to use one of the PFI lines from your 9401 to trigger the acquisition on the 9215, all from the trigger tab in the DAQ Assistant. If you want a little more control over the whole process, you could use this example as a guideline for writing your code.

TJ,
Thanks for the example. That will help.
