Hi im quite new in this kind of stuf so a bit help would be useful.
I am given a task to measure temperature in several buildings ( 27 - so i would need 27 or more temperature sensors ). The problem is the buildings are in a large distance one of another. The data needs to be centralized and viewd on a computer using LabView. I would write a program in LabView to open or close valves acording to the separate temperature readings.
I don't know what kind of temperature sensors would be best for this kind of task and how exactly to aquire the data. The average distance between two buildings is 600 meters. And also a recomended valve type would be nice.

Dear Marian,
if you need help with system configuration, it would be the best for you to contact you local NI sales branch for consultation. To be able to properly assist you we would need much more information, and exchanging it on the public forum might not be the best idea.
Taking into account the number of nodes distances between them, I would suggest you to read about our WSNs - http://www.ni.com/wsn/ , http://www.ni.com/white-paper/8735/en/.
BR,
