i am trying to read a type k thermocouple signal and have recieved a number of errors when trying to set up a temperature channel
first error is 201003 this occures when attempting to run the channel configuration
second error occures ocational when i run the test panel and it is 10401. the test panel will occasionally work and i can get a temp reading from the device
i have run the diagnostics utillity and received the following message
Error -200220 occurred at an unidentified location
Possible reason(s):
Measurements: Device identifier is invalid.
Please select a DAQmx device from the pull-down menu.
------ DIAGNOSTIC UTILITY ABORTED -----
there are no devices that appear in the pulldown menu
any assistance in this matter would be much appreshiated

Both of those errors indicate that LabVIEW does not recognize the device. I would look over the "Where to Start with Your NI 4350/4351" article to make sure you have set everything up correctly and installed the proper driver software. If you're still having problems with the device, look in Measurement & Automation Explorer to see if you can communicate with the device and set up a simple temperature task. Note that you will have to use the Traditional NI-DAQ driver instead of DAQmx and your O/S (if Windows) is limited to XP and 2000.
