Problem with DSA PXI-4461

Hello

I have a big problem with a PXI-4461 card ( DSA card mounted on PXI-1045 chassis).

The problem is that when we run a self calibration on this card from Measurement & Automation Explorer, the last self calibration date is not being updated. Calibration process runs as is expected, no error messages are shown during calibration but for us is really important that this date is updated due in our test application the program flow depends of this date.

We ran self calibration several times and we have obtained same result.

Could somebody please help me?

Are DSA calibrations limited to a specific number?

Is there a memory on card where last self-calibration information is saved and it has been fully used.

Any idea about what the problem is?

Hi Albertano-

I just performed a self-calibration on a PXI-4461 in a PXI-1044 chassis and the date did change.  Which version of NI-DAQmx are you using?  What happens if you hit F5 to refresh the calibration window after performing the self-calibration?  Does the self-calibration process indicate that it completed successfully?

Hello Gary

This is weird, as I said, self-calibration date is not being updated after calibration.

We are using version 4.1 of measurement & automation program.

I ran self-calibration one more time and I tried F5 key but that did not refresh the date.

I verified if an anormal message came up during calibration process and everything ran successfully, I mean with no error messages.

Any idea what is happening ?

Thanks and best regards

Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) would be updated with an updated DAQmx driver.  It is never a bad idea to upgrade your driver if your system would support it.  Here is a Knowledgebase article to refer to to see if your system could use an upgrade.  I would upgrade the NI-DAQmx driver to see if a new version of MAX fixes the issue.
