I am trying to record a WAV file using a labview VI. The setup is a microphone going through a preamp, to a Bruel and Kjaer measuring amp, connected through BNC to a NI BNC2140 breakout box and finally to the NI4551 PCI card. I ran the vi and it seems to be working (or else it wouldnt even run) and I've ran the same vi in another setup so I know its not a problem with the vi. Also, in the vi, the graph usually will display some sort of amplitude change based on the input signal that it picks up but all I am getting is a flat (almost zero) line which tells me that its not picking up anything (i also recorded the file and played it back and it was silent which is another indication that it is not functioning properly). I've checked the Bruel and Kjaer measuring amp and it seems to be working, so I believe the problem is either in the breakout box or the 4551 card. I loaded up MAX and it recognizes the 4551 card, and in the vi i have it set to read the output from device 1 (which corresponds to the ni4551 from the properties screen in MAX) and channel '0' as that is the connection on the BNC2140 breakout box. But again, the problem is that i am not picking up any audio when I try to record a wav file. Can anyone help with this? I am running Labview version 6.1
