Voltage Reading in LabView through Serial Port RS232

Dear All,

I am a hardly a beginner in LabView. I am trying to serially communicate a Microcontroller with labView. I am using a RS232 serial cable to send signals, which I want to interface with labview. I want a graph to show voltage on Labview (Acquired via serial port).

I tried a few examples, but failed, could anyone of you please help me out on how to serially communicate a device with LabView.

Hi Maxum,

I would start by performing a Serial Loopback test in Measurement and Automation Explorer and in LabVIEW to verify that everything is working properly without the Micro-controller.  Here is some step by step instructions on how to do that: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3450
