Was it only a name change for PCI-6111 and PCI-6110 from E to S?

I have recently purchased a PCI-6110 S series card. I want to use this with software based on code developed for a PCI-6111 E series card. Was the change from E series to S series only a name change? i.e. Can I treat the new S series card the same as the E series and can I use old drivers (V6.9.x)?

Hi CAS,
somewhere between 2000 and 2003 we did change the name from E to S on both cards. This was to reflect the fact that they're not strictly E-series, but have always been simultaneous sampling cards.
The only difference between the two cards is that the 6110 (the new card you have) has 4 differential inputs, and the 6111 (original card you were using for development) only has 2 differential analog inputs. All the other specifications are the same.
They will work with the same driver, and the same code should be fine for both.

Thanks

Thanks for that Sacha. That was the answer I was hoping for.
