We have a NI product SC-2050 A/D Board. Can we use this for strain gages

We have a 2 strain gage installed on a fibe-optic cable an we want to transfer the data to a PC. We have LabView and SC-2050 board with backplate. This board has been used for thermocouples and pressure tranducers. Can we use it for our strain gages.

Hi,

SC-2050 is just a cable adapter board for routing the DAQ device lines to various signal conditioning accessories. So whether you can measure strain gauge measurements or not depends on the signal conditioning accessory you have. For example if you have SC-2043-SG, you should be able to make strain gauge measurements.
