frequency response with NI 4551

Hallo there!

I am having at my disposal a NI 4551 Card and I would like to see the frequency response of a circuit. (In other words I will have an input and an output voltage.)

I have read an assignment from a former student of mine where he used a VI called "Network Analyzer.vi" and with the appropriate cable connection he was taking the frequency response very simply. I am aware that this vi was used in old versions of LabVIEW but i would like to know if there is a VI in the current version of LV(8.20)

Do i need other drivers than NI-DAQmx??

Hello Dimitris,

I am not quite sure where Network Analyzer.vi might be from.  Could the VI posted in this thread possibly be the one you are looking for?

The 4551 does not use the DAQmx drivers.  It uses the Traditional DAQ drivers.  Assuming you are using either Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you will want to download Traditional NI-DAQ version 7.4.4 if you will using LabVIEW 8.2.
