When generating or acquiring at higher frequencies, it become extremely important to calculate the impedance that is seen by the instrument. This VI calcuates the input impedance at the card when the load (sensor, DUT, etc) is an known impedance. In this particular VI, it makes certain assumptions that are: the transmission line is lossless and the impedance of the load is constant over the entire frequency spectrum. Knowing this, it uses this following equation:
