This program allows you to insert comments into the data file as you're collecting data..
Description
This application is especially useful when you enable "End text entry with Enter key" option under Tools»Options»Environment (otherwise you'd have to use the Enter key or click outside the text box for the text entry to register). Also, you probably want to use the "One header only" option of the Write to File Express VI.
Requirements
Software
- LabVIEW 2012 or compatible
- NI-DAQmx 9.5.5 or compatible
Hardware
- NI Multifunction DAQ Device
Steps to Implement or Execute Code
- Double-click on the DAQ Assistant to configure and select your data acquisition device
- Double-click the Write To Measurement File to select the file path
- Run the VI
