Wii Remote Automated Test Equipment (ATE)

The Vision:

“To create a professional and visually appealing demo to promote National Instruments hardware, software and programming practices with a well known Device Under Test”

Having been asked to create an automated test system, Team Test used NI LabVIEW and TestStand to create a system to test Nintendo Wii remote controllers. They implemented an intuitive Wii-like interface to fully automate the verification of the remote controllers' Bluetooth, accelerometer, rumble, speakers, infrared camera and current draw. As an added bonus, the whole system is controlled with a Nunchuk!
