How to use Motor Response Transform

I would like to use the MotorResponse Transform.vi to specify a motor response to a joystick input.  I need this function for several motors in my project.  Can I just copy the Static VI Reference (Motor Xform) given in the Custom Motor Scaling Example.vi block diagram into my project and wire it to the Open Motor.vi for each of the motors I intend to use?
