Paul,

Sounds like you are running into a known issue with NI-VISA and Vista.  I am assuming Add/Remove programs did not completely uninstall the version of VISA you had on your system, and version differences are preventing LabVIEW Real-Time and NI-RIO from being installed.

I would like you to consult this Knowledge Base article (KB) that addresses this issue.  Please note this KB instructs you to remove all NI software from your system before reinstalling anything. Let me know if you have any questions.

Following the complete removal instructions listed in the KB article you provided and reinstalling the FRC Software solved my problem.
