Lag in Joy stick

Hi All,

We been driving the robot and we notice, about 75% of the time there is a lag between when we hit the Joy stick and the motor on the robot moved. This includes sometime when we let the joy stick go (let it go to 0) there was also a delay. The delay is any where from momentary ( 10th of a second, witch is probably acceptable to about 1 second (which is not acceptable).

We took out the Vision and the dashboard updates and it didn't seem to change the results. We also put a timer in the main loop in (Robot Main.vi) and the loop delay was down to 100ms avg. We did add some code to start the compressor in the Begin.vi.

Where can I look for the delay? what else could be causing the delay? Any diagnostic suggestions?

Thanks

If you haven't already, I would suggest connecting the driver station directly to the CRIO through a long Ethernet cable.  This will eliminate wireless causing the delay if this fixes this issue.

We did that and it didn't fix it, it may have helped some but did not fix the problem. We also tried a faster computer as the dashboard computer with no help.
