As a preface to this query, I have successfully set up our control system, inclusing the camera. This glitch occurred when I was trying to setup a Vision training session. I attached the camera via the x-over cable to my pc and start VA 8.6 FRC version....when I started to try to acquire images from the Axis, I got the -20001 error 'insufficient memory'. This occurred even though I was off any networks and had no other programs running. I have searched the NI site and can't find anything about this. Since I know the camera works, it must be something simple with its configuration.....any help would be appreciated.

To answer my own question:
I was informed that if you simply run the 'Setup Axis Camera' utility that is installed with Labview....that all will be ok...and it is!

 so, in summary:

 1.  disconnect from all networks
 2.  setup your static ip:  192.168.0.96   subnet: 255.255.255.0
 3.  connect camera, push button on back
 4.  run 'Setup Axis Camera'
 5.  open Vision Assistant 8.6 FRC and acquire images using the axis camera!
