If you need a basic robot to play Hot Shot, The Wiffle Grabber might be it.
"The Wiffle Grabber" (TWG) is a customization of "The Grabber", which I've described in several previous documents.
Other than two small pieces of Lexan, TWG can be built using just the parts from a standard FTC competition kit.
TWG is based on the robot that's constructed in "Getting Started with NI LabVIEW for FTC", found at: https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/372580e/resource/372580e.pdf
Then it's turned into "The Grabber" by following the instructions and software found at: https://forums.ni.com/t5/FIRST-Tech-Challenge-Documents/The-Grabber-Software-An-adaptation-of-the-qu...
Finally I show you how to pimp it out for FTC here.
Hey... it's something to build while figuring out your "Secret Weapon".
Secret Note: if you want to drive The Wiffle Grabber using your wireless PS2 controller, check out this document: https://forums.ni.com/t5/FIRST-Tech-Challenge-Documents/Drive-your-FTC-robot-using-a-Wireless-Playst...
