We are having problems with the NI FBUS Comm Manager stopping communications. Currently the Comm Manager is configured as a basic device with a fixed address. It is writing to the Out block (when in manual) of an AI block running in a Rosemount 848T. We are using this 848 to pass data from Labview using the Comm manager to talk Fieldbus to a Emerson DeltaV DCS. The Emerson DCS is acting as the link master on the Fieldbus segment. The communication seems to work fine for a while, but after a day or two, it simply stops talking. This requires a reboot of the Labview PC and then communication picks back up. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Can you please share more information about your problem? Like which version of NI-FBUS CM you are using? And are you using PCI-FBUS/2 or PCMCIA-FBUS interface card?
