On both a Dell GX-620 and GX-280, the system will "hang" on power-up with our "new" 2-port PCI-Fbus cards installed. However, unplugging and replugging the PC power cord will allow the syetem to boot.  Obviously this is very inconvenient in a production enviroment.

It's been noted that this could be a "series 1" vs "series 2" issue. But supposedly only series-2 cards have been shipped since late 2004.

How can I tell what series boards I have?

The Series 1 and Series 2 here is all about PCMCIA-FBUS card instead of PCI-FBUS/2 board, as I know, there is no Series 2 for PCI-FBUS/2 right now.

But your "hang" problem might be solved by second restart of your PC. You can send e-mail to fieldbus.support@ni.com for more help.
