I seem to have understood that the search field of a board has now been upgraded to "search within the originating board".

When the results list appears, then the "advanced search" link is available.

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

Yup found that one. But isnt that wierd considering you are suddenly shown to have authored couple of solution and you never know to which question and you have to search for something and then go to advanced. Uhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Lot of work.

I had suggested an recent soulution authored shown in the empty space we find when we click our user name. Guess it was as usual trashed.

Laura - I've been using the Unread Discussions module in the idea exchange instead of the RSS-email combo for the last couple of days and here are my current thoughts:

  1. It's not accessible enough. Yes, it only requires one additional mouse click and a bit of scrolling, but for something which is the "default" mode, that's a bit annoying.
  2. It's easier to use. Everything is shown in a single place. It's still not as easy as the standard boards, though.
  3. It's annoying that clicking the thread title does not bring you to the newest post. I configured the rest of the forums to do that and this is a break from that.
  4. If I do use the number in the New column, it only brings me to the first unread comment. If the idea is also new, it will skip it, thus forcing me to realize the idea is new and then scroll back up so I can read it. If I haven't read the idea yet, it should show it to me.
  5. I REALLY want an option where every thread has a single line. I don't need the preview text or the board name if I'm viewing the unread discussions for a particular board.

I'm sure this was reported before, but I don't feel like reading through 15 pages of posts this early in the morning. (Late dinner last night.. too much wine.. you get the drill 😉  ).  And no cafeine 😮

The macro button on the text editor is truncated.  No matter how I resize Firefox (3.6.4), the macro pull down menu stays truncated.  See image below:

There is a crumpled look all over the place.

Hi Laura,

one more suggestion:

It would be nice to have an option to switch the display of message time to 24h format. Right now I can choose "German"-style date format (dd-mm-yyyy), but there is no option to switch off the AM/PM-time format in the "Display" section of "My Settings"...

As English isn't my first language and using a 24h-format in real life it's really hard to switch to that weird AM/PM thing Smiley Wink

Best regards,
GerdW

The following things have been changed / fixed:

  • The message highlighting was changed from gray to white
  • The horizontal line and the left, center, and right alignment buttons were added back to the editor (still working on the indent buttons)
  • Idea Exchange modules were cleaned up
  • Search section in the Help that was not applicable is removed

Thanks,

Laura

I had already logged that, Ray. I can't remember which page it was on, and I don't feel like wading through 15 pages to find it either. Smiley Wink
