For some reason, this has really been bugging me today...
The Community has a feature where you can just reply to an update email and you have posted to the thread. Kind of neat. However, it turns into a major mess when somebody has their auto-reply turned on. The Community site needs to figure out a way to ignore these auto-reply emails since all it ends up doing is filling my inbox with auto-replies that got posted.

I am out of the office today participating in a Lean Manufacturing event. I'll address your concern when I return tomorrow evening. If you have an immediate need, call someone else.
Thank you,
carmodj

Hi Tim,
The user group community does have some checks in place to ensure auto replies don't get posted to discussions. However, some email clients handle such messages differently, so it is possible the regex we use is missing some things. If you could link us to an example of where this has recently happened, that would help us in improving this feature.
Thanks,

Here is one in an open community: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-35967#comment-45001
There were a few in a private community. If I find them again, I'll send you a PM.

I can't say where it is happeninng today, but it is happening and Ich bin annoyed....
I think I will set up my autoreply so that we can get some cross-mojonation going and see just how many replies we can get. That sounds like even more fun than being that guy that reply-alls to an accidentally reply-all'ed message telling people to stop replying to all.

We had one of those recently. Some body sent a message to a corporate group asking to be a part of it (a distribution list I never knew existed). Then about 40 replies from people asking to be removed from that group, and at least half saying "stop replying to all" and yet they kept doing that. It was actually getting funny after awhile. Especially when people the original sender shouldn't even be allowed to have a PC.
This distribution list included pretty much everyone, about 65,000 e-mail addresses!
PS. I did a "notify moderator" with a link to a private community message I found that was an out of office reply.
