E-Mail notification

Hi all

I don't know if this was posted earlier - at least I did not find a thread similar to what I want to mention.

If I answer to a thread or start a new one, I get the notification mails.

Sometimes I also get a notification mail, if I posted a message myself. This behaviour is not in every thread, it's not after posting a new message to a thread where this occured - it's just sometimes:

1. X creates a new thread
2. Y answers
3. I write an answer
4. Z answers -> I get an e-mail
5. X answers -> I get an e-mail
6. I write an answer
7. X answers -> I gen an e-mail
8. I write an answer -> I get an e-mail

Why? Is there a reason for that? Have I missed out something? Did others notice that too?

could it be that  the post options ( notification -etc) are accidentally switched unknowningly ?


If you check the options :
a: email if someone replies to this
b: Thread -notification fro every new reply from begining of thread
c message notified for every new reply to this message

d keep this message at the top of the bord list
e thread/message
*******************************
Thus if you change options after the first reply  and then again later what actually state is the system in?
Does it default to thread or message ?
Can you overide your initial settings?

Maybe it was not clear enough in my first post, but sometimes I get a notification after posting a message myself and later, when posting to the same thread, I don't get a notification after posting a message myself. So I think it's not a setting, that changes and remains changed. In addition, this does not occur on every thread I subscribed. Just a few.
