Hey all -
Now that CC's code is out there, please don't all run it! CC has been very respectful of the load that his VI puts on the site and I hope you all do the same. Please let CC (or the lucky person he appoints) run the VI once per week and post the update rather than have us all run it all throughout the week to check on our progress.
Thanks!

I would like to ask if this code is Open Source, so I can use it for analyzing another forum and only for my private use. I know I have to replace all things getting the information from the HTTP document, the table and part of the code storing it into the Excel document. But there is a lot of code and technics I can reuse.

Waldemar,
Of course, the code can be considered as Open Source. It even make use of some OpenG utilities, such as the Sort 2D subvis. I also borrowed the Excel file saving part. There is nothing original, except may be the initial idea ? I'll be happy if you can make a reasonnable use of it !

I recently detected that Ben and Dennis are displayed in bold when their names appear. I made a search in the discussion forums for "bold" using all search boxes but didn't find anything else about bold fonts.

Is this a easter egg from Molly?

Greg hasn't it; but he is under the 2000 post limit for getting bold?

Needed to correct a mistyped word.

That's something Molly explained sometimes ago :
12-03-2004 12:58 AM, in http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=97500

5 - From the board view, the ratings column only populates when the question has been rated. The system doesn't automatically average all of the ratings on the thread and display that average. This is something we can consider as a new feature moving forward. From the board view you can see who posted most recently to the thread. The users who have reached the highest level in the community have bolded names so they will stand out in that column.

Ah, I see. The search for "bold" will not find "bolded". Even a search with "bold*" will find more hits but not the message from Molly. And even a search with "bolded" will not hit it. That's the reason I thought it may be an easter egg.

Worked for me ! But I used the "advanced" search, and I searched over the past 180 days. The answer appears on the third page !
Of course, when you know what you are searching for, it's easier. I asked for Molly K as author. Bingo !

Coa everybody !

Well, the length of this thread becomes a problem form some of us, who have difficulties when looking for the latest List update.
So, let's keep it as a prototype of the future "Break Point", I'll start a new thread dedicated to the List and related topics. BTW, I'm happy that everybody jumped on the idea of finding the best possible name for the "social" forum...

tst, it's not necessary to pretend that you are a nice guy, hem I mean person. I'm sure that everybody here already made his own opinion...

tst, you should not criticise : I just missed the right button. It's not that easy to use the mouse with webbed hands...

not meant as a "Petit Robert"
JLV, I like the "Petit Robert" joke. You all should know that the "Petit Robert" is a reference dictionnary for those willing to understand the french language. However, in french slang, it also means "tiny breasts"...

I dug through the ideas for the name of the social board and updated the choices in the poll. I could only pick ten, so I hope the one you wanted made the list!

Let's make a decision by Friday (March 25th) so we can get it created this weekend!

Thanks!

Molly, the bright red "New" for the poll appears only in this board.
If you want people to notice it before friday, I suggest you also add it to the other pages.
I was a bit disappointed to see that JLV's wastelands didn't make it, but eventually went with "the connector pane".
