Forum bug: "The attachment's content type does not match its file extension."

In writing a post, I tried attaching a C++ source file with the extension .cpp and the NI Forum software would incorrectly reject it. The software reports:

"The attachment's content type (text/x-c++src) does not match its file extension."

Please tell me what extensions the forum software will accept for C++ source 🙂

What board were you trying to post to?  cpp is on the list of allowed extensions so I'm not certain what's going on. I do know some boards have different lists though.

Thanks,

Laura

The "Driver Development Kit (DDK)" forum. I was able to successfully attach a .gz file (Linux zip format), so for now I have a work-around, but it would be great for folks to exhange just the plain-text source files.

Thanks - I was able to reproduce this and passed along the information to our forum vendor.
