Forum extremely slow

I am at a different site today than yesterday.

Both days, the forum was slow.

Today, it is slower than ever!!  It takes nearly 1 minute from the time the Post button is hit until the message actually gets posted.

Have others noticed the same slowdown? 

I can browse other sites at normal speeds...

It took 24 seconds to post the above...  Much faster than my previous post..

I got the following message but noticed that the post still made it.  So it must be in the refresh that it takes so long...  I have noticed that refreshing takes unusually long at this site.... Since last week.

This post only took 5 seconds...

I am seeing this as well, especially with the logins (although that's pretty much notoriously slow).

I have not noticed it with the logins, but definitely opening a new thread or clicking on reply and then waiting for the editor window to appear.

Posting... well that an even slower story...

Not to distract you from digging into that report but I have to ask because I am not really familiar with the mechanism involved in how the forum software builds the image for a thread but...

You're funny.   I doubt that changing signatures would affect the forums that much because it picks up the signature dynamically..  Or at least I would hope that's how the site is coded..  So, unless you have many...many.. people reading all your posts at once...  Naw... that wouldn't affect it either because they would need to refresh the page to see your signature change.. 

It may have been at my end because where I was working, they were having network issues.  Glad it's a telecom company. 😄
